Central In Our Lives is the story of how students at
Central High School experienced the historic desegregation of
the school in 1957. The story is told through student
voices
and offers a participant's involvement by the people who were
there and who personally experienced the events. The
book tells what the students did to support school
desegregation, the consequences paid for those actions, and
what they were unable to do at the time. The book
identifies the educators, family members, and ministers that
influenced the students' actions to do what was right. |
