Upper guest apartment, and it is looking up the road towards Hosenfeld. Your ears will pop at the top of this hill, winter time makes for lots of fun with snow removal and the salt shaker can't quite get up there. They have to borrow a farm tractor to help pull the truck to the top.

The Church is looking south towards the middle of town, the Church was built in 1739. When we first moved up here after I retired, I had serious thoughts of finding that person who was ringing those church bells at 0620 in the morning...but turned out to be a good thing. The grandkids had to get up and out to catch the bus next door and go to school. The main part of our town is in the valley, the wind is not as strong down here, but it does have its drawback...when it snows we get more than the next little towns. Our valley is "closed" all the way around, the others are open at either end. Last year we averaged 3 feet of snow, the others had 14 to 20 inches.

Back view you can see our back yard and Heidi's 'tater patch', the open field with the wood pile in the middle belongs to the church...the Volunteer Fire Brigade was supposed to burn that pile and practice using the pumps and various hoses, nozzles and etc, well something like the "spotted owl" story came up...so they're having to wait until the Nature  Police say it is safe to burn.
