Few people ever serve any school or community as long and as well as you have served Central High and this city.  Few students pass through this school who do not come under your influence in some way or another, and few still leave our school and forget you.

     We, the students and faculty, hold you in high esteem and great affection.  For the daily service which you render to us, we love you.  It is with sincere regard and genuine devotion that we dedicate this edition of the PIX to you, as the great recorder in the Big Show of 1957.
