After a successful
coaching career at Little Rock Central High School,
winning 33 straight football games, which included a overall winning
record of 109 Wins - 17 Losses - 3 ties. Against
Arkansas-based opponents, his Tigers went 72-3-3. While
at Little Rock Central he won Ten State Championships in
eleven years, with one National Championship. The new coach,
Frank Broyles at the University of Arkansas, came calling and
Wilson Matthews was hired as an assistant coach at the
University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. |
