After a successful coaching career at Little Rock Central High School, winning 33 straight football games, which included a overall winning record of 109 Wins - 17 Losses - 3 ties. Against Arkansas-based opponents, his Tigers went 72-3-3.  While at Little Rock Central he won Ten State Championships in eleven years, with one National Championship.
